Tuesday Updates

Hello fellow bloggers! I haven't been doing too great of a job of keeping my blog updated, so I thought I better add a little bit. I haven't really been up to too much, but here are a few pictures of what I have been up to. One picture is of Joel on Saturday while he was doing his Fantasy Football Draft. He wanted to be a part of the blogging so I thought I should add him to my blog. Saturday was my first time experiencing a fantasy football draft and it was definitely interesting. Joel and his friends were on Instant Messenger with each other and it lasted about 4 1/2 hours. Hopefully his team will be good this year. We have a lot of football to watch!
Another picture is of my co-worker Amy and I in the Wells Fargo Stagecoach when it came to our branch for our Grand Opening celebration. It was a fun event and we took a lot of pictures in the stagecoach. The middle picture is of my boss's office last week. We decorated it for his birthday, but I don't think he thought it was as funny as we thought it was. He got over it, but I have a feeling the revenge may not be so good!
Before dinner last week . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Joel's Blog participation

My brother Travis is coming out here to visit me this weekend, so I am looking forward to that! It will be good to see him. He is coming on Thursday at 3:30pm and is staying until Sunday. Hopefully we will find some fun things to do. The following week after that, I am going back to South Dakota for the weekend because it is my grandparents' 50th anniversary. It will be a nice long weekend and will be good to get away from the bank for awhile! Don't know much else, but will try to keep updating more frequently!

Hiking "The Rock"

On Sunday, I decided to be ambitious and hike up to the Castle Rock (my town's namesake). It really wasn't too bad of a hike, but I got a little nervous when I looked out and saw that it was raining not too far from where I was and I could hear thunder and see lightning in the distance. Since I was so close to the top, I booked it up there and then headed back down just as fast. Here are some pictures from my short hike. In the one picture you can see how hard it was raining in the distance. It was fun, but I think it would be more fun if I had someone with me. Also, for the record, I talked to Amanda last night and she is moving here this weekend. I am so excited to have another girl friend so close to me!

My New Kitchen Additions

Here are the two newest additions to my kitchen wall decor. Joel found these posters on E-bay for me and they fit perfectly next to the big picture of the bartender pouring the martini! I picked up two cheap black poster frames at Wal-Mart and they really look pretty good!

I have the afternoon off today, so I am pretty much cleaning my apartment and doing laundry. Joel is coming down tonight so I think we will hit up the outlet mall and either cook or go out to dinner. Nothing too exciting, but it will be fun to be together!

My First Overnight Guests

Last night, Kendra, Russel (her boyfriend), and Kerry (Kendra's sister) spent the night at my apartment. We watched Anchorman and drank some Coors Light. It was a fun night except that we were all so exhausted from the day! This morning, Kerry and I went to Safeway to pick up some food for breakfast. We had pancakes with fruit and yogurt, bacon, and orange juice! Pretty fancy for us! Now, I'm off to the pool to pick up some rays (I am sooo white right now)!

Pictures from Cheyenne Frontier Days

Here are some pics from Cheyenne Frontier Days in Wyoming a few weeks ago. We went to the Toby Keith concert and it was AWESOME! A big shout out to Kendra and Bank of the West for the free tickets (just don't tell my boss!)!! It was such a great weekend and it was so good to meet Kendra's wonderful man Russell and his super fun sister Darbi! I love you guys!!

My First Cosmopolitan 08/20/2005

Wow! My first blogging experience has begun. I still don't know too much about this, but I thought if I never got started, I would never know what it was all about. So far, my weekend has not been too eventful. I stayed at home last night, drank four Miller Lites, watched Anchorman a few times, and sat on my rear. Not too exciting for the first Friday that I didn't have to work the following day, but what do ya do?? Sit here and feel sorry for myself that I am home alone on a Friday night, or get drunk by myself and enjoy a very funny movie! Today, I met up with Kendra, her boyfriend Russell, and his sister Darbi in Lone Tree at the Park Meadows Mall. Then we went into Denver to meet up with Kendra's friend Marsha, her mom, and another family friend, and Kendra's sister Kerry at The Cheesecake Factory. I ordered my first cosmopolitan and it wasn't too bad. I had never had a martini before and I decided that I was past due in that department! We had a fabulous meal including dessert (White Chocolate Chunk Macadamia Nut Cheesecake for myself) and then I came back to Castle Rock to take a two hour nap! Pretty exciting huh? Now I am waiting for Kendra, Russell, and Kerry to come see my apartment in Castle Rock. Not too sure what we are going to do, but maybe head to a small bar downtown or something. So there you have it, my first blog! Can't wait to add more!
